The 34th Annual Letter Carriers Food Drive is back! La Crosse and Onalaska Letter carriers are making it easy for the community to help re-stock the area's food pantries.
The annual Letter Carriers' Food Drive, organized locally by the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 59, happens on Saturday, May 9.
Can you help make this day a success? Great Rivers United Way is recruiting volunteer driving teams (a driver plus a passenger) to help pick up food, and attendants at the food drop off sites.
Also, encourage everyone you know to join you in donating food:
- Place non-perishable food and hygiene items by your mailbox no later than 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 9. Please do not wait until your mail usually arrives to set out donations. All food collected stays local, benefiting these agencies and more:
- Onalaska Food Basket
- The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse
- WAFER Food Pantry
- The La Crescent Food Shelf
