We are private sector who volunteer to assist in responding to an event that affects our area.
How Volunteers Help
The mission of the La Crosse Area VOAD is to be a consortium of the member organizations which will foster more effective service to those imperiled, or impacted, by disaster through cooperation in the mitigating (encouraging governmental actions for the disaster prevention and/or limitation) and response (aid to disaster effected persons). This organization is to coordinate and educate agencies and facilitate communications between them in reaching the common goal. This organization takes no role in providing direct services to anyone. Direct services are provided by the member organizations.
