WisCorps, Coulee Region Audobon Society, US Fish & Wildlife Service, US Geological Survey, and the City of La Crosse Parks, Recreation, & Forestry are hosting this year's International Migratory Bird Day Celebration!
Join us at the Myrick Park Center to learn about the importance of migratory birds through a sunrise birding walk (family birding walk mid-morning), bird banding demonstration, and bird themed crafts and games!
Schedule below:
6:30am: Birding Walk with Coulee Region Audobon Society (Meet at base of Marsh trail)
7:00 am - 12pm: Birding Banding with USFWS Scientists
9:00am: "Birds of Wisconsin" presented by Coulee Region Audobon Society
9:00am - 1:00pm: Bird-themed Activites & Crafts
9:00am - 10:30am: DIY Oriole Feeder (Build and paint your very own oriole feeder! Great for families!)
10:00am - 10:30am: Family Birding Walk (Meet in atrium of Myrick Park Center. Bring binoculars if you have them!)
10:30am: Bird Call ID Competition (Open to adults & children. Test your knowledge on birds calls & compete to see who can replicate the calls best!)
