We are healthcare volunteers and employees who believe we can make a difference in a patient's quality of life as they approach end of life. Our Heartland Hospice mission as volunteers and employees is to enrich every life we encounter: our employees and volunteers, our patients and those who love and care for them, the communities in which we serve, and those who we can support in their loss of a loved one. Together as Volunteers and Employees serving on our Hospice Team: Our purpose is to serve. Our priority is to grow in service. Our commitment is to lead in caring, compassion and Best Practice for all our patients' end of life Comfort Care needs.

Heartland Hospice provides a multi-discipline Healthcare Team of medical employees and Visitor and Clerical volunteers to provide quality end of life Care and Caring to patients and their families, serving 14 counties of Southeastern Minnesota. Together, we make a big difference in the Quality of Life of our patients and their families as they approach end of life. At Heartland Hospice, our Volunteers are the heart of hospice. Our Heartland Volunteer Team Members celebrate our patients' sense of dignity and community, even as life is ending. Each Visit Volunteer provides unique and special benefits to our patients, as we all share and grow together. As a Heartland Volunteer Team Member, you can provide social and emotional support to our patients in collaboration with our medical team who provide all physical care. As active Visitors providing caring and compassionate support to our patients, Heartland Volunteers are full members of our Healthcare Team, working collaboratively with our multi-discipline professionals -- together securing a personal dignity and quality of life during end of life for our patients and their families.
