Foodshare Outreach for La Crosse County

Who We Are

Foodshare Outreach for La Crosse County is a program sourced out of La Crosse County Department of Human Services .  Our mission is to address food insecurity in La Crosse County by partnering with food pantries, churches, agencies and volunteers.

What We Do

The FoodShare Outreach program is a program provided by the La Crosse County Human Services in partnership with Couleecap and the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse.  Goals of the program include: decreasing food insecurity throughout the community, increasing access to healthy, nutritious food by providing information about FoodShare and application assistance to those in need, and helping clients strive for and reach self-sufficiency by providing information on workforce development programs.  The program focuses on helping individuals, food pantries, and other agencies assist people in applying for FoodShare benefits through ACCESS and understand the benefits of participating in the FoodShare Employment Training Program (FSET) program; benefits of participating in FSET include helping members build job skills, obtain jobs, and meet the Able Bodied Adult Without Dependents (ABAWD) work requirement for the FoodShare program.
